I worked on the title sequence for the film Operation Chromite.
The sequence visually interprets the story of Operation Chromite (the Incheon Landing Operation)—a real military operation carried out during the Korean War—by conveying the brutality and gravity of the war through restrained imagery and controlled motion rather than overt dramatization.
Fragmented scenes of the battlefield are presented in a calm, deliberate manner, avoiding emotional excess while capturing the weight of historical moments. As these images accumulate and interweave, they gradually form a cohesive flow that ultimately converges into the film’s title typography, establishing a clear narrative structure within the sequence.
Designed as more than a simple introduction, the title sequence functions as a narrative prelude, imprinting the meaning of the operation and the harsh realities of the Korean War on the audience before the film begins.
